The story is set in a village called Rangasthalam. Chitti Babu (Ram Charan) happy-go-lucky man who has a hearing disability and he doesn’t let his disability deter him. His brother Kumar Babu (Aadhi Pinisetty) returns from Dubai only to see that nothing in the village has changed. What happens when he decides to go up against the dreaded President garu (Jagapathi Babu) forms the rest of the story.
I am not a huge fan of Ram Charan and his acting, but in Rangasthalam, he had delivered an outstanding performance. Charan's filmography, which majorly contains typical commercial movies, is something not worth discussing (except Magadheera may be). But in Rangasthalam, he had given a hair-raising performance. One could watch the movie twice just for charan. His accent and dialogue delivery are just enough for you to totally immerse into the film.
Another thing to talk about is the screenplay. Though the movie is a ususal love story with a political thread to it, sukumar had done an outstanding job and turned it into a breathtaking suspense filled movie.
Jagapathi babu as villain does justice to his character. His appearance and acting are par with his seniority in the industry.
Samantha's acting, rathnavelu's photography and Dsp's music are also good. Reshmi as rangammattha gets a very decent role and she too pulls it off with the skill of an experienced actress.
The ending could have been better, but it doesn't disappoint you so much. You could watch the film thrice.

The movie is very entertaining and kept us engrossed in the story. The village settings made the story quiet authentic and I felt the scenes of the movies to be quiet apt to the story.
Overall I would highly recommend to others to watch the movie.
